Samuel Smith's Taddy Porter

Now a English beer a porter a style that has some what had a resurgence recently

Appearance:

A very dark reddy brown, purple with good tan head which lasts

Aroma:

Roasted coffee with unripe fruits and a touch of spicy hops

Taste:

Bitter at first with the roasted malts then coming through while in the back ground you have the hops. The finish is very similar to the main test with the roasted malt a bitter fruitiness and touch of hops.

Overall:

A beer you can chew feels very indulgent in a way and it a beer you want to drinks slowly. Definitely a beer for autumn and winter ideal after today’s wintry showers.

8/10
