Cantillon Fou' Foune

A Belgium lambic flavoured with apricots with a rude name

Appearance:

Slightly cloudy pale gold with a touch of red fast disappearing head

Aroma:

Acidic slightly musty hay initial smell that fades and apricot takes over.

Taste:

Extremely dry and acidic to start with, as the acidity fades (a  little) a malt taste starts which is then over powered by the apricot flavour. The finish carries on in much a similar fashion with the acidity being slightly balanced by the dried apricot flavour at first and eventually the apricot flavour wins out.

Overall:

A beer which I appreciate the craftsmanship but just to dry for me to drink on it's own,

8.0/10
