De koninck

Today's offering is a Belgium amber called a pale ale in the book.

Appearance:

Clear chestnut amber with small white head

Aroma:

Biscuit like malt with a touch of hops and spicy cinnamon undertone.

Taste:

The malt comes across first with bitter and spicy hop with a hint of grapefruit citrus fruit. The finish has a roasted malt nature that isn't in the main taste and dry leaving a bitter spicy hops at the end.

Overall:

Much better than it's competition (Palm) which I find slightly soapy. However I do find keep to cold in most bars for my likely, but draft is better than bottled, so buy one at a bar and wait abit!
