Bitburger

Today's offering is a classic German Pils, which is loved in Germany and not seen often in the UK, although Lidl sells it in Netherlands and is relatively cheap which make it something that I am known to part take in once and a while.

Appearance:

Pale clear gold with a good head that doesn't last

Aroma:

Toasted juicy malt with a touch of citrus and floral hops

Taste:

The toasted malt comes across with just the right bitterness of hops to balance it. The finish is long and bitter sweet with the malt coming through first which gives way to a unusual hop flavour (like floral pine nuts) and drys the mouth meaning you want another sip.

Overall:

Highly quaffable beer as the advertising goes bitte ein bit, and enjoy a quality large brewed pils.

8.5/10
