Weihenstephaner Pilsner

Today's offering is from a Munich brewery more associated with wheat beers than lagers.

Appearance:

Bright pale gold with nice white long lasting head

Aroma:

Lovely biscuit like malt with s hint of hops and lemon

Taste:

The malt comes followed by the tartness and then the bitterness from the hops come. The finish is alternates between the malt and the bitter hops with again a citrus fruitiness. Very refreshing.

Overall:

A really good lager/pilsner although better know for the wheat beer this is a very good beer for a sunny spring day like today

8.0/10
