Butcombe Bitter

I must admit this is a beer I have not heard off before, this is a classic English bitter.

Appearance:

Lovely bronze with slight off white head that hangs around

Aroma:

Spicy hops mixed with malt with a hint of acidity

Taste:

The taste start like it is going to be really pepper hops and then suddenly the malt kicks in with a tartness that fade to bitterness. The finish in flavour carries on as before it is long and ends with a nice ferric bitterness to me.

Overall:

Still a bit unsure of this beer, it just is missing something and I can't put my finger on what it is maybe the tartness is to much for my tastes

7.5/10
