Weihenstephaner Hefe Weissbier

If yesterday offering was a classic Bavarian wheat beer today's offering is the classic Bavarian wheat beer.

Appearance:

Pale cloudy brown yellow with the typical large lasting white wheat beer head, lively bottle meant I had to drink some quickly!

Aroma:

Again the typical ripe bananas that I associate with wheat beer is there but backed up this time with some cloves and some earthiness

Taste:

The taste is that typically cream malt with bananas backed with some cloves. The finish is long but with malt and more banana/spice fading in with a late hit of hoppy bitterness.

Overall:

The beer to judge other wheat beers by. Just really well balanced if you want a wheat beer it is unlikely that the other is better.

8.5/10
