Cantillon Gueuze Lambic

Today's offering is one I have high hopes for given the lovely Rose de Gambrinus

Appearance:

Rich gold with large white head that doesn't hang around

Aroma:

Aroma of hay with a slight nutty earthiness

Taste:

Not surprising very sour, with lemon and tart apple taste with a nice nutty earthiness and present tingle of carbonation. The finish is long but not strong with a fruitiness and earthiness remaining as the acidity fades

Overall:

Not as good as the Rose de Gambrinus but a really good lambic, sour but not overpowering. Still not lambic will not be regular in my shopping list but when it is this is the one I would take.

7.5/10
