Westmalle Tripel

Today's offering is a trappist beer from Belgium probably the most famous trappist.

Appearance:

Pale, cloudy, orangy light brown with lasting white head

Aroma:

Floral peppery hops with a touch of earthiness.

Taste:

The taste starts tangy, with fruit orange overtones and then a peppery spicy hops come through. The finish is long not strong but understated with the peppery hops and masses of herby overtones and a warming alcohol.

Overall:

Just because it is most common doesn't mean it is not good a really nice tripel which is ready available and a pleasure to drink.

8.5/10
