St Bernardus Abt 12

Appearance

Dark ruby chestnut, slightly cloudy with large khaki head.

Aroma

Vineous fruits with underpinnings of bread like malt touch of pepper and chocolate.

Taste

Rich malt with candy sugar hint of burnt grains finally a touch of liquorice. The finish is warming slightly nutty and a bit of peppery hops.

Overall

lovely beer should try a blind tasting with westvleteren maybe not so complex in the taste but a fine beer

8.5/10
