Samuel Smith Imperial Stout

A stout made originally for the russian market.

Appearance:

Very black as expected with a small head that disappears

Aroma:

Chocolate and roasted coffee

Taste:

Intially there is  malt but this is very fleeting, as the roasted flavour comes through and a touch of coffee, nice carbonation. The finish is dry and bitter and slighty hint of coffee and a touch of warmness from the alchohol.

Overall:

A really nice stout nice to drink not special but very good.

8.0/10
