Westmalle Dubbel

A very lively bottle today....too much on the floor than in the glass!

 

Appearance:

Dark cloudy chesnut with a good tan head

Aroma:

Fruity with a hint of chocolate

Taste:

Very fruity, like a tropical fruit mix, spicy with a very dry finish

Overall:

I too often overlook this as it is avaialable at pretty much every supermarket, but it is a fine beer with enough complexcity to make it stand out and cheap enough to make it end up in the shopping basket. More a winter beer for me.
