Hobson's Postman's Plum Porter
A local brew today, made with damsons not true plums
Appearance
Dark reddy brown with a touch of purple. Off white disappearing heaf
Aroma
Dark malt and then comes the damsons, which compete with hops and win in the end.
Taste
Starts fruity but only for a moment then dark roasted malt comes to the fore, then some spicy hops with fruitiness like the skin of the plum and final bitter finish, with a tiny hint of fruit.
Overall
Lovely beer could drink a lot of this! 8/10 look out for it hope they do it again next year
