Monty's Eastbound Double IPA
Appearance
Cloudy light mahogany which good size white head.
Aroma
Hops and carrot whiskey (lethal farmer home brew).
Taste
Smooth than expected then some bitter hop with chewyness. It fades then the finish gets bitter and bitter as time goes on, with slowly warming alcohol.
Overall
Note complex enough as the American IPA a good start but needs a bit more malt IMO. 6/10

Wood's Christmas Cracker
Appearance
Ruby chestnut small amount if tan head
Aroma
Rich vinous fruits touch if biscuit and malt loaf
Taste
The vinous fruits start strong but fade with malt coming through followed by the fruits coming back in a more spicy finish.
Overall
Nice Xmas beer, just spicy enough 7/10

Dorothy Goodbody's Christmas Craker Ale
Appearance
Dark chestnut with hint of ruby, small off white head
Aroma
Dark cane sugar vinous fruits wee hint of hops
Taste
Slightly burnt caramel, spicey raisons touch of sour cherries that fade to bitter hop finish
Overall
Nice enough, could handle being a touch higher in alcohol to have that winter warmer effect 6/10

Ch'ti Noel
Appearance
Light amber with white small bubble head
Aroma
Malt touch of wet hay
Taste
Malt with grain, very full flavour, pleasant carbonation. Finish is dry malt touch of hops and almost lambic style of wet hay.
Overall
Nice winter warmer beer not to complex but still good 7/10

The Shropshire Brewer Spice Dancer
Appearance
Light gold with fast disappearing head
Aroma
Slightly spicy, touch of malt and hop not much aroma
Taste,
Touch of spice on bit of biscuit malt fades to bitter hop drying finish. Bit bland.
Overall
Not special bit boring OK but hints at it could be more spicy 4/10

Black with tan small bubble head
Aroma
Medicinal smoke with dark chocolate
Taste
Smoked like a rauch beer at first which is slowly taken over by chocolate which soon fades to smoke. Finish is bitter smoke
Overall
Not bad like the style like the beer but bloody expensive and I have had better smoked stouts and porters

Gentse Gruut Blond
Appearance
Light straw gold head disappear quickly
Aroma
Biscuit malt with floral hop overtones
Taste
Like a mix of an English bitter and a tripped, sweet malt is keep in check by the bitter hops at the same point the carbonation comes in. The finish is dryish and like like roasted peanuts, odd.
Overall
Nice beer I will drink this more often 8/10

Lindemans Cuvee Rene
Today's offering is a gueuze lambic
Appearance
Light gold no head but carbonation is present
Aroma
Wet hay with a touch of floral hops
Taste
The malt and hops starts then the acidic nature you expect hits you with a fizz of carbonation. The finish is bone dry and bitter.
Overall
I have grown to like this style but I have not enough experience to judge but this is nice in my eyes.

Coopers Extra Strong Vintage Ale
Today beer is australian trying to prove not all their beer is an April fool's joke
Appearance
Mid chestnut with small off white head
Aroma
Yeasty is a good way with vinous fruits and touch of chocolate
Taste
vinous fruits with a sweet edge like a dubbel, with nice carbonation, which fade as bitter hops come in. The finish is warming strongly bitter with still a touch a sweetness for balance.
Overall
Nice different beer not special but nice change.

Baird Beer Shimaguni Stout
Today offering is a Japanese craft beer that some how made it to Netherlands
Appearance
Very dark chestnut with no head.
Aroma
Dark chocolate with a touch of blockbusters and hint of coffee grounds.
Taste
very bitter at first then nothing else comes through and becomes watery. The finish is bitter and iron like.
Overall
Very disappointed with this 2/10
