The great big Kentucky sausage fest (Amager)

Appearance

Dark chestnut with large tan head

Aroma

Very hoppy with a floral nature with chocolate in the background and hint of garabaldi biscuits

Taste

Sweet malt with chocolate at first which is swamped by hops and a rich maltiness. The finish is increasingly bitter with a touch of burn from the booze.

Overall

Really like this beer big flavours but with enough complexity to enjoy 8/10

Victory and Brewdog U-Boat

A smoked porter form Brewdog and Victory brewing company, not a brewery I know.

Appearance

Dark black, light barely passes shows a cloudy dark red brown.

Aroma

Smoked chocolate is the aroma with a hint of black treacle

Taste

Rich sweet malt at first then the smoke comes in but is not overpowering. The finish is bitter (in comparison) and Smokey with a lovely warmth of the amount of alcohol.

Overall

Lovely subtle imperial porter, does what it claims. 8/10

Willke Tripel

Today's offering is courtesy of my friends Kees and Marije.

Apperance

Very cloudy light brown with small lasting white head.

Aroma
Very hoppy at first and then caramel / toffee comes through.

Taste
Hoppy floral notes with biscuit malt to balance with a touch of nettles and elderflower. The finish is slight bitter and caramel.

Overall

Note really a trippel in taste but a lovely easy drinking beer.
