Brasserie Castelain Ch'to blonde

Appearance

Bright gold with large white lasting head

Aroma

Touch of honey with flowery hops

Taste

Mild malt with touch of honey sweetness fades to very fruity almost lychee like hops. The finish is slightly bitter and very malty like uncooked bread.

Overall

Nice enough just not standout, reminds me of a dortmunder style beer. Very easy drinking

Omni Pollo Hypno Pompa

Appearance

Dark black with large dark tan head

Aroma

Black treacle with a tannic edge and a very very faint hint of vanilla

Taste

Bitter stewed coffee and very tannic which black treacle comes to the surface with a hint of vanilla but fades quickly. The finish is all tannins with a hint of vanilla and is very drying.

Overall

Not one for me as I hate coffee again a barrel aged disappoints.
